Fayetteville Engagement: Kaitlin + Jonathon

Erin Wilson Photography

These photogenic lovebirds are tying the knot! Danville natives Kaitlin Short and Jonathon Spike have set the date for Saturday, October 14, 2017 at The Loft at Stone Oak. The talented Erin Wilson Photography took their dreamy engagement photos.

Here's their love story in Kaitlin's words:

"We met in the summer of 2013 with just enough time to fall in love and for me to move three hours away to Memphis. We dated long distance for three years while I was in optometry school and he worked in Arkansas. In the fall of 2016, I moved back to the state and we are finally living in the same place!

My whole family was in town for a wedding and I was put in charge of throwing a dinner for everyone. Jonathon was working two hours away and running very late, so I had given up on him joining us. When we were done eating, it was suggested we all go to the town square in Fayetteville to look at the lights (although Christmas was still two months away). When I got there, all the lights were off. I got out of the car and was like, “Well, this was a waste of time!” Jonathon was waiting there. He took my hand and walked me to a dark area of the square. When that handsome man hit his knee, all of the beautiful Christmas lights came on around us! What he said is a blur in my mind, but I know that it was the easiest yes I have ever given. When I finally stopped hugging and kissing him, I turned around to find my family and closest friends cheering us on. That’s when the tears officially started. Most of them had been hiding behind bushes, in the cold, waiting for me to show up. We all went inside an event venue nearby to pop champagne and celebrate!"

Springdale Engagement: Alexis + Andrew

Two Carters Photography

We're just a little (okay, a lot) in love with this rainy day engagment session by Two Carters Photography. Little Rock native Alexis Gamache and Gravette native Andrew Shafer are tying the knot on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at the Stone Chapel at MattLane Farm

Here's their love story in Alexis' words:

"Andrew and I met last August when we started the School of Ministry with Cross Church. Andrew was studying worship ministry and I was studying student ministry. One of my close friends was also studying worship ministry and before we knew it we were all hanging out. Andrew and I began to talk more and when we all took a mission trip to Africa, feelings began to grow quickly. When we got back to Arkansas, Andrew asked me to be his girlfriend. We dated for almost five months before I walked into the church for work and the worship center was dark and he had rose petals and candles lining my walkway. The song "Love is Not A Fight" by Warren Barrfield was playing and on all of the television screens a slideshow of pictures of us played. He asked me to marry him at 7:34 in the morning on March 5th. He's the most amazing person I've ever met and I cannot wait to become his wife!"

Cue all the heart eyes. Congrats, you two!

Jonesboro Engagement: Shelby + Kenneth

Kelly Kate Photography

Bryant native Shelby Ellison and Jonesboro native Kenneth Caubble are tying the knot! Their gorgeous engagement photos by Kelly Kate Photography are giving us serious heart eyes. Shelby and Kenneth's wedding will take place on Saturday, November 18 at the Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa in Hot Springs.

Here's their engagement story in Shelby's words:

"February 18th was the most perfect day ever. Kenneth and I had gone to Bryant to stay with my family for the weekend. Before we had gone home, my mom had told me we would be taking family pictures that Saturday so she made sure Kenneth and I brought nice clothes. We left to take pictures and when we got there the photographer informed us that my mom [said] they were running a few minutes behind. She told us she could get a few pictures of the two of us while we waited. When we got there she had a dozen roses, my family's quilt and a few other things. After taking a couple of pictures, I turned around and Kenneth handed me the roses. Everything was blur from there! The man of my dreams got down on one knee to ask me to marry him and of course I said YES! I was so excited we were able to capture this special moment! After we took a few more pictures showing off my gorgeous ring that Kenneth picked out all by himself, we met all of our close friends and family back in Bryant to eat and celebrate! It was better than I had imagined."

Congrats, lovebirds!

Springdale Engagement: KaLee + Chad

Jo Johnson Photography

KaLee Holloway of Fort Smith and Chad Greenwood of Spiro, Oklahoma are tying the knot! The two have set the date for Friday, June 30, 2017 at the Barn at The Springs. As we await their sure-to-be gorgeous wedding, we can enjoy their beautiful engagements shot by Jo Johnson Photography

Here's their engagement story as told by KaLee:

"Chad pulled off THE greatest surprise for our engagement! It was my birthday weekend and my family had planned a small dinner to celebrate. Chad told me he would pick me up and my family would be meeting us at the restaurant. While in the car, I wasn't paying attention to where we were driving... until Chad pulled into a familiar place – the place where we had one of our very first dates. He led me down to a bridge where we had shared special moments and memories. The bridge was lined with candles and rose petals. Chad walked me to the middle of the bridge as we reminisced about how some of our deepest talks, biggest laughs and important moments happened on this same bridge. After telling me how much he loves me, he told me he had birthday surprise for me. When I turned around, he was down on one knee, asking me to marry him! Overwhelmed by excitement, I managed to squeak out a "YES!" and watched him slip that beautiful ring onto my finger!"

Congrats, lovebirds!
