It’s no secret we live in a society dripping with cool technology. These days, if there’s not an app for it, it doesn’t get done. And because of that, we’ve curated a quick list of some of the most essential apps to get you through the planning process, start to finish.

Get the word out:

A lot of couples today use wedding sites to put together a page for themselves. It tells their story, gives info about the ceremony or reception, has RSVP and guestbook capabilities and generally saves you from repeating the same information to everyone who writes on your Facebook wall. Appy Couple is an app that even further simplifies that process. Manage your guestlists, photos, countdown messages and customize your site all from your smart phone.

Get inspired:

The holy grail of wedding inspo, you’ll find everything you could ever want on Pinterest. There are dresses, suits, makeup, hair, cakes, venues, decor and DIY, and that’s just scratching the surface. No trip down the aisle comes to fruition anymore without a few secret Pinterest boards. By the way, are you following Arkansas Bride?

Get moving:

We know you want to feel your best on your wedding day, but we also know how busy you are with planning. You might not always have time for a trip to the gym or enough daylight to get in a run. The fitness app Sworkit will be your (other) knight in shining armor. Sworkit will walk you through entire workouts you can do anywhere using only your body weight, no equipment needed. All you have to do is choose a timeframe and decide whether you’re in the mood for strength training, stretching, cardio or yoga.

Get registered:

A lot of brides have moved to full or partial online registries, especially with out-of-town friends and family who can’t make it to the wedding. WeddingScan is an app that allows you to register for any item from any store at any time. Simply use the app’s scanner and the product will be added to your online registry, which you can then sort into categories and manage from your phone or website. You even get notifications when an item is purchased for you.

Get on it:

Wedding planning is a lot of work, that’s why people do it for a living. They have teams. You have The Knot. Find vendors, manage checklists, track your budget and stay up to date with the latest from the world-renown wedding publication’s wedding planner app. It’s everything you love from The Knot, all at your fingertips.

Get connected:

As you get closer to the big day and things get more and more hectic, clear communication will be your biggest ally. Apps like Evernote and Cozi make organizing and sharing lists, contact information, reminders and calendars with your soon-to-be-spouse a snap, and potentially saving you a lot of headaches along the way.

Get the picture:

Unfortunately, not everyone you invite to your wedding will be able to make it. If they still want to be in the loop, you might consider live-streaming your ceremony. Ustream allows anyone with the link to see what you’re broadcasting. Designate that tech-savvy nephew of yours to film it with his phone so the folks back home can watch, too. (Just make sure he stays out of the way of the real photographers.)
