Fayetteville natives Nicole Allbritton and Colin Roe are engaged! The couple will exchange vows on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at the Central United Methodist Church and Arkansas Alumni Association.

I accepted a job in Florida and Colin and I were celebrating our going away party with family and friends in March 2014. After speeches were made, he sat a beautiful crystal ice bucket of water and seashells in front of me and told me he was going to do "this" by the water. Suddenly, he dropped to one knee and asked me to take this next step and marry him.
I was so shocked by what was happening that he had to ask, "is that a yes?" I managed to eek out a "yes" before wiping away tears and laughing. Everyone cheered and I saw the ring he was giving me. A family heirloom of diamonds and rubies, it was and is the most beautiful ring I've ever seen.
