Emily Hale from Berryville and Lumberton, Texas, native Beau Owens are engaged to be married on Saturday, June 20, at the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville.

Beau and I met on a mission trip to New England. There was an instant connection and we have been inseparable ever since. Almost a year and a half later, we went on another mission trip to the Dominican Republic. We spent our last day there relaxing on the beach. I went back to my room, but he told me to meet him at the beach around 5:30. When I got there, I saw a heart made from rose petals and in the sand was written, “Marry Me.” He got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. It was truly the perfect moment. I cannot wait to marry Beau and spend our lives together!
