Sheridan natives Kimberly Phipps and Chris Diaz are tying the knot! The couple will marry on Saturday, May 9 at the Jamestown Ranch in Wooster.

Chris and I grew up in the same town, literally five minutes from each other, but did not meet until we were freshman at the University of Central Arkansas. We were introduced by mutual friends and quickly had a connection.
Little did we know that we would decide to share the rest of our lives together. Chris proposed on December 30, 2014, at Toad Suck Park while we sat under the stars, cuddled in a blanket on the bed of his truck watching the dam.
The next day, Chris took me on a surprise adventure to a bed-and-breakfast called Hilltop Manor in Hot Springs. Waiting in our room was a cake that said “I love you Mrs. Diaz.” He told me to get dressed up and he would take me to my next surprise, which was a horse and carriage in downtown Hot Springs that would take us to and from dinner at the Porter House.
The next morning, after a delicious breakfast, we went antique shopping and book shopping, two of my favorite things! I could not have asked for a better weekend and am blessed to make many more memories with such a sweet, caring man.
