We’re officially in our first full week of April and spring is finally happening, people! The birds are chirping, the grass is greener and, well, it rains just about every other day.

Unless you’re a recent transplant, you know that’s just how it is here in Arkansas this time of year, so you learn to make the best of it. That’s why we’re taking the month of April to focus on showers! (Get it?) From fashion to food and everything in between, Arkansas Bride is your go-to source for all things wedding shower-related.

To kick things off, let’s go straight for the good stuff: party food. We wouldn’t say it makes or breaks a get-together, but it can definitely sway the mood. Here are some of our fave recipes to help sway in a good way!

Flavored Ice Cubes

If you’re having a hard time choosing what beverages to serve to your crew, forgeddaboudit. Why choose? Instead, dice up fruit (or mint, or adult beverages, etc.) and turn them into ice cubes! Guests can add them to sparkling water, ice tea or whatever else you want to serve for a long list of drink options.

The Best Party Punch... Ever

Erin Lang | Art Director

via Savor Home

You know what else helps in choosing what beverages to serve your crew? When you have “The Best Party Punch... Ever.” There’s a reason punch is a staple at showers, and that’s because it’s a total crowd pleaser. This fresh and fruity concoction will more than please your guests; it’ll have them scrambling for more while you just smile. Bonus: It tastes great with or without “a few splashes” of vodka, just FYI.

Caprese Skewers with Balsamic Drizzle

Put down the sugar cookies and step away, girlfriend. If you’re more inclined toward the savory side, you might want to go ahead and sit down because these will knock your socks off. Impossibly easy, impossibly delicious… Mission impossible, right? Wrong. Just call us the Tom Cruise of shower foods.

Zucchini Quesadillas

All hail mother Martha, she’s done it again. It’s the easiest meal you made in college meets farmers market freshness. They’re so easy, fast and delicious that you might just have a hard time getting them out of your kitchen and to the shower (guilty). Ladies, we just found you new fave brunch snack.
