Ceremony: Home of Buck & Meredith Smith
Reception: Hamp Williams Building

Despite the size of the town, Amy Crain and Kirk Gober of El Dorado never crossed paths growing up. It wasn’t until Amy moved back from San Antonio that their mothers decided the two should get together. Looks like mother really does know best.

The Details

When the time came to talk marriage, it was decided the ceremony would take place at a family friend’s house overlooking Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs, and Amy and Kirk knew exactly what they wanted: natural elements with a touch of “Boardwalk Empire”/1920s. Big brooch bouquets, simple greenery and floating candles, deep shades of navy and bright silver helped pull everything together in on seamless evening. A few standout details of the day: the couple served a signature drink named after their English Bulldog Scarlett and instead of a getaway car, the wedding party set sail at sunset for a lap around Lake Hamilton.
