Greenwood native Amanda Smith and East End's Sawyer Ware are just a few short weeks from tying the knot. This dream team will exchange vows surrounded by family and friends on Saturday, Nov. 14, at one of the state's newest venues, The Barn at Sleepy Hollow in Clarksville.
Amanda and Sawyer are simply beaming in this beautiful engagement sesh from Erin Wilson Photography. We just love their love, not to mention their funny love story told by Amanda:
I'm a dental hygienist in Fayetteville and one Friday afternoon, Sawyer walked in as a new patient to get his teeth cleaned. I instantly thought he was cute and chatted him up the entire appointment! We had a lot in common and I could tell he was a great guy! He had his first cavity, so he had to come back for a filling. The doctor I work for knew I thought he was cute, so she made me numb him up (give him a shot) for the filling. I went to the back and told our outspoken assistant to hint that I was single and he should ask me to hang out sometime. He called my work the next week to ask me out on a date, we had our first date on Valentine's Day 2014 (where he gave me a beautiful purple orchid) and have been together ever since!
We went on vacation this summer to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico with Sawyer’s family. I told all the girls at work I was hoping he would propose while we were there. They all kept telling me it wasn't gonna happen and I was getting my hopes up. Little did I know he had told them he was going to. We got there and on the second night after dinner we were all walking along the beach together. Sawyer and I stood up on a rocky ledge overlooking the ocean. I was taking pictures of the sunset when he put his arms around me and told me that our love for one another was endless like the ocean. I laughed, thinking he was trying to be funny. He then said how much he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me, then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! So thankful God dropped this wonderful guy right in my lap!
