Kelley Rasco of Monticello and Jim Eckhart of Cabot are tying the knot! The two will exchange vows on Saturday, Dec. 5, at The Villa Marre in Little Rock.
We're currently swooning over this engagement sesh from Katie Childs, and this sweet couple's proposal story has completely stolen our hearts. Read it for yourself, straight from Kelley:
On a sweltering night in August, Jim called me to pick him up from work because his car was in the shop getting an oil change. He convinced me to go check out the cliffs that overlook the Arkansas River at Emerald Park in North Little Rock because we were nearby and we had always wanted to see the views.
The sun was setting on the horizon as we walked through the trail that leads out to the cliffs. Standing on the edge of the rocks, looking out, I see Jim out of the corner of my eye pick up a rock and toss it off the cliff. As I’m watching it fall down into the quarry, I notice something written out at the bottom: “WILL YOU MARRY ME?” spelled out in large rocks, spray painted red so that they were clearly visible. I turned to him in shock as he was pulling the ring out from his pocket. Of course, I cried and said yes immediately.
He said for about a month he had been hiking out to this secluded area three to four days a week to find large rocks and place them in the right order. I couldn’t believe he had done something so extravagant, yet that is the person he is, selfless and loving. He is my best friend and I can’t wait to marry him on December 5, 2015.
