Chrissy Bartholomew & Keifer Holt
August 13, 2016
Hunt Chapel in Rogers and Grace Point Church in Bentonville

Their love for Christ brought them together and almost four years later, that same church would be the place of their wedding reception. Chrissy Bartholomew of Bentonville and Keifer Holt of Rogers met at Grace Point Church in high school while attending the same small group and have been together ever since.

Unlike the elaborate engagements seen on social media, the future Holts experienced something much more lowkey. It was actually unplanned. Chrissy says it was a very sweet moment led by God in her car at a gas station.

The Inspiration

For their wedding, they wanted people to recognize the beauty of God and marriage through the outdoor scenery in the chapel and a simplistic, natural color palate that included greens, whites and greys. Both Chrissy and Keifer are huge lovers of outdoor scenery and natural light, so the Hunt Chapel was the perfect setting for their big day.

Chrissy refers to their wedding theme as “French Rustic,” including elements of wood, taper candles with gold holders and goldware for the sweetheart table. She wanted to find a balance between casual and fancy to make guests feel comfortable and special.

How They Customized

A personal touch was the centerpieces at the reception. Each one was hand crafted by Chrissy’s grandfather with reclaimed wood to capture the rustic look. Another customization was that Chrissy and her mother designed all of the printed materials such as the invitations, menus, table numbers, seating arrangements and so on. Each table had a “Newlywed Mad Lib” and a “Holt Wedding Word Search,” so that guests would have a fun activity to do with their table during awkward waiting times.

Another detail that made the day their own was having one of their favorite food trucks at their wedding. When Chrissy and Keifer found out TrickDilly food truck caters, they knew it was game over. The company features gourmet and specially crafted tacos that were a delicious treat for their day.
