Fayetteville natives Cassi Carpenter and Savant Walker barely knew each other in high school, but after graduation the two hit it off. Five years later, the couple welcomed their son Karter into their lives. A year later, Cassi was away for a weekend doing clinicals for nursing school. When she came home, she immediately ran to pick up Karter. When she turned around, Savant was on one knee holding her dream ring.
The Inspiration
Cassi wanted a whimsical bohemian look that still felt timeless. She based everything off of a picture in her head that was colorful and unique. Cassi’s color story included berry and mauve with little pops of both bright and dark colors. When it came to a venue, Sassafras was the obvious choice because of it’s natural, laidback beauty.

Cassi knew she wanted good food at her reception, since she hadn’t experienced many memorable wedding meals herself. The couple also chose a photo booth instead of traditional favors so guests could have tangible memories to take home with them.
The invitations were custom from Shindig Paperie, which added Cassi’s personal style to the affair.
Cassi’s most worth-it splurge was the flowers. She says the bouquets from ZuZu’s brought all the colors she had in her head to life.
Cassi’s most unforgettable moment was looking around at both her and Savant’s families during the reception and noticing how happy they all were.
