High school sweethearts Erica Brewer and Grant Dewey recently got engaged at the San Miniato Al Monte in Italy while Erica is studying abroad! Grant gave Erica the most romantic and dreamy surprise of a lifetime as he got down on one knee atop one of the highest points in Florence on July 20, 2017. Although the couple has not yet set a date, we can tell by the looks of their gorgeous proposal photos that their big day will be nothing less than perfect! Both are natives of Lonoke and will be seniors at the University of Arkansas in the fall.
Here is the story of their picture-perfect proposal in Erica’s words:
“Grant had planned to come visit me while I was here. I had no idea that he was planning to propose! On the day of the proposal I thought we were going to a very fancy dinner at the top of the Piazzale Michelangelo and then we were going to meet up with friends. When going to dinner Grant said he wanted to stop at the church on the way. We walked around a little bit and just as the church bell rang at 6:00 Grant got down on one knee and proposed. I never cry, but the tears of joy were running rampant! I was so shocked and the view was so romantic. Surreal is the only word I can think to describe it! Grant had also arranged for some of my friends to greet us after and a photographer was there to take pictures of us during the proposal and after. It was amazing. His proposal and the ring were beyond my wildest dreams.”
