Alma natives Jenna Jones and Clayton Ogilvie are tying the knot! The two met in high school and began dating when Jenna was a sophomore and Clayton was a senior. After high school Jenna moved to Fayetteville to attend school at the U of A, but the long distance took a toll on their relationship and the two broke it off. After being apart for a few years, Jenna and Clayton crossed paths again and the rest is history!
Here's their proposal story in Jenna's words:
"On Friday, May 5, 2017, we headed out of Fort Smith for a weekend long camping trip with some of our best friends. After a few detours we finally made it to our Blue Mountain Lake campsite and enjoyed the night laughing around the campfire and making yummy s'mores! On Saturday morning we took off for Mount Magazine where we had plans to hike around before an afternoon of fishing on the lake. After a short hike, we decided to go ahead and find the closest 'look out' area because let's be honest, all we really wanted was an awesome picture with breathtaking views (and that's definitely what we got). Once we made it to the top, we took turns getting our pictures taken. I should've known something was up, Clayton had never EVER been so eager to have his picture taken! After our friends snapped a picture of Clayton and I, he immediately pulled that little white box out from his pocket and got down on one knee and of course, I said yes!"
