Kaitlyn Poole & Andrew Buck

Andrew Buck asked Kaitlyn Poole the big question while on a hike at Devil’s Den State Park. Two years prior, the couple had gone camping with a group of friends at the state park and that was when Andrew asked Kaitlyn to be his girlfriend. As their two-year anniversary approached, the weather changed and brought in the crisp fall air. The two made their way to the top of the mountain trail with coffee in hand, when Andrew got down on one knee. Kaitlyn said yes as two of their friends snapped pictures of the whole thing before everyone popped champagne to celebrate.

THE INSPIRATION

Kaitlyn wanted a wedding day that was unique and full of greenery and blooms. She turned to Pinterest to search for ideas and was quickly drawn to a palette of greenery, blues, and neutral colors. After stepping inside the Brick Ballroom in downtown Siloam Springs, Kaitlyn was sold on her perfect wedding venue with an interesting history. In the 1920s, the Brick Ballroom was a Chevy dealership and has been transformed into a blank-canvas venue with an industrial look and heaps of natural light. “I was nervous and giddy when I first walked into the venue, but the smell of eucalyptus filled the air, and it was so pleasant,” she says.

HOW THEY CUSTOMIZED

For the ceremony décor, Stems by Em created an 8-foot circular archway full of greenery and pampas grass. Romantic candlelight anchored each side of the arch and vintage rugs lined the aisle, creating an intimate boho setting.

After the ceremony, Kaitlyn and Andrew treated guests to a cocktail hour featuring appetizers and specialty drinks that lasted throughout the night. Appetizers like chicken and waffle skewers and pimento cheese mousse wowed guests. For the signature cocktails, they served a few creative vodka drinks and a Bucking IPA that the groom himself brewed.

COLOR STORY

The reception décor played off the ceremony arch. The head table had a running garland from beginning to end with floral arrangements and candles along with hanging curly willow above it, and each table had its own unique display of floral arrangements.

The couple’s wedding cakes sat on a sparkling table linen with a boxwood backdrop. On the wedding cake table, the couple placed the Lladro bride and groom figurine that was on Kaitlyn’s mom and dad’s wedding cake.

As for her favorite moment of the day, Kaitlyn says it was in the few moments of quiet in between the ceremony and the reception. “We had a few moments alone in the back room and it was such a sweet moment where time seemed to slow down and we simply looked at each other and said, ‘We are married!’” The couple ended the night by driving away as husband and wife in a sleek 1948 white Cadillac 60.
