She Said Yes Bridal owners Myka and Lorrel Lyles have wedding dress shopping down to a science.

She Said Yes Bridal has been a staple in Northwest Arkansas for 15 years.

“I started as a part-time associate in 2009 while in college and just fell in love with the business,” co-owner Myka Lyles says. “I had the opportunity to buy the store in 2014 with my mother-in-law Lorrel.

"We carefully select each designer to make sure each collection in our boutique speaks to who our client is. With every single gown we buy, we create ‘the bride’ in our head — who she is, what her style is, where her wedding will be, etc.”

Now, each week, brides are treated to Myka and Lorrel’s extensive dress expertise with the boutique’s “Tip Tuesday” videos on Instagram. These popular stories reveal what brides need to know when shopping for their wedding and bridesmaid dresses. “I do this to give insight to those who have never planned a wedding, which is most people,” Myka says. “We want to arm them with information to make the best decisions and feel confident!”

TOP TIPS
1. Be open-minded.
2. Prep your entourage ahead of time on what you’re looking for, and ask them to be open minded too.
3. It’s about how you feel in the gown, not necessarily about finding the perfect top, bottom, back, and then trying to find “that” gown. It’s good to know what you like, but focus on the feeling you get in the dress.
4. Make sure it feels like YOU — just the bridal version. When you’re happy and don’t want to take it off, that’s a pretty good sign!
