After relocating to Little Rock, Brooke reveals a fresh design eye and unique planning experience.

Brooke Baker began her career in the world of events at a young age. Living in California, she started out in the catering industry but changed course and went the traditional career route for a job in finance and management for 12 years. She worked on weekend weddings during this time, and through referrals and fostering relationships with fellow wedding professionals, she made the move to start White Sage Events in 2016—with a long-term plan of running an estate venue homestead.

In February 2020, Brooke’s adoptive father passed away and then the COVID-19 pandemic took hold in the U.S. After postponing an entire calendar year of events in California, Brooke took time to reflect and realign her priorities. This led to her relocating her personal home base to Little Rock, where her entire biological family now resides.

“Getting to spend the summer exploring the Arkansas event community, venues and vendors was beyond encouraging,” Brooke says. “Every single individual has been so welcoming and supportive, more than I ever could have hoped for.”

One of the unique perks of White Sage Events is their venue liaison services. Venues are typically a huge chunk of any wedding budget, so finding the perfect spot is a stressful undertaking. The White Sage Events team helps brides compare all their choices side-by-side to ensure no stone is left unturned.

"There’s no hiding the climate—COVID has changed everyone's lives. We love that this has brought about more intimate ceremonies and elopements. The level of detail and intention for these ‘mini-monies’ is incomparable. Plus, we get to throw another party to celebrate with all of your favorite people down the road!”
