Lindsey & Kevin
October 24, 2020 / Sunset Lodge at Rusty Tractor Vineyards, Little Rock

LINDSEY AND KEVIN met at an Orange Theory Fitness-Midtown.

The plan was for Kevin to propose while they were on a week-long trip to Monterey, California scheduled for June 2020 but COVID-19 cancelled the trip. So, Kevin coordinated with Lindsey’s best friend to get her out of the house. Then he put together the most romantic setup on their back patio, complete with rose petals on the ground, string lights around the deck, dinner settings with a white tablecloth and gourmet food, champagne, candles everywhere and a gorgeous arrangement of tulips. As soon as Lindsey walked in the door, he guided her out back and got down on one knee.

PLANNING DURING A PANDEMIC

COVID definitely derailed their proposal plans, but other than that, it really only impacted their guest count. They were both engaged and married during COVID, so they knew what they were signing up for from the beginning.

INSPIRATION

Their decor had subtle nods to Lindsey’s grandmother's stunning vintage hummingbird dinner plates. Tiny hummingbirds peaked into the design in the bouquet, the cake, the table settings and stationary.

HOW THEY CUSTOMIZED

Laine Berry (the owner of Inverness and designer of Lindsey’s dress) said she knew from the moment Lindsey sent over her style that she had the perfect dress for her. Lindsey knew the moment she put it on that it was the one. It was a strapless, fitted gown, with buttons down the back, a long train and a large bow. Lindsey couldn't have loved it more. Her favorite fashion element was the bow on her dress, because it was a show stopper. The rest of the bridal fashion consisted of a long, skinny veil, large pearl and diamond earrings from Sissy's Log Cabin, a pearl bracelet that Lindsey’s Dad gifted her Mom on their wedding day, and one of her Mom's rings.

“Soak up every minute,” Lindsey says. “It will be the BEST night of your life and it will FLY BY. Don't sweat the little stuff because at the end of the day, you will be married to your best friend and that is all that matters!”
