KAYLEE WOOD AND LOGAN BURKS
May 21, 2021 / The Grandeur House, Little Rock

Kaylee and Logan met when they were both in high school. After spending the summer together, he asked her to be his girlfriend. Every year, they go to Gulf Shores, Alabama with Kaylee’s family and take professional photos. But for the 2020 trip, Logan got down on one knee and made sure the photographer captured the moment. Her family and her best friend were all present to witness it, too.

THE INSPIRATION

Kaylee shared her entire planning experience on TikTok to millions of other brides. Her wedding planner, Brooke Baker with White Sage Weddings, was able to take Kaylee’s vision and bring it all to life. Kaylee knew she wanted to get married in a chapel and she loved the beauty of the green pastures and the twinkle lights of the Grandeur House. Kaylee wanted the event to reflect the brightness and life of spring, her favorite season, while also being chic and timeless.

Kaylee’s grandfather, who passed away before the wedding, grew blue hydrangeas in his garden and she wanted to honor him by having those flowers be the focal point of her big day.

HOW THEY CUSTOMIZED

Kaylee and Logan wanted to create a modern space by keeping the décor minimal and having statement pieces and light blue linens. Dusty blue, green, gold and light pastels made for a cohesive and classy layout. Some of their favorite elements were the styled lounge area, neon sign photobooth, the dance floor and the DJ booth. For the ceremony, they were surrounded by floral centerpieces that sat on different sized pillars to create a full and lavish backdrop. Kaylee’s dog, Millie Nash, was her honorary flower girl and she wore a white tutu dress and a custom floral collar.

Kaylee chose a ballgown from Inverness Bridal with a satin heart shaped neckline and a gorgeous cathedral length train with a subtle sparkle and removable sleeves. After the first dance, Kaylee switched into a different dress from the Unveiled Bridal Collection in Little Rock — a hand-beaded mermaid gown she could dance in.

Kaylee and Logan’s formal invitations had a simple white card stock with thin dusty blue calligraphy, wrapped with a dusty blue ribbon and closed with a gold wax seal. They had a simple white cake with greenery, which was displayed on a feature hydrangea table that had wheels. It was rolled out to the center of the dance floor for the cutting.
