Aubrie Farmer of Hot Springs and Cody Hobby of Pearcy recently wed in Fayetteville. Here are the details and lovely pictures from their wedding .

  • Wedding date: Sept. 10, 2011
  • Number of guests: 100
  • Ceremony & reception venue: The Garden Room, Fayetteville

What was your overall inspiration? My overall inspiration came from my love for Pottery Barn and nature. I wanted our wedding to feel romantic, natural, and outdoorsy. Cody and I both love the outdoors so we chose blues and greens that we love from nature and incorporated things like mason jars and chalkboards to create the comfortable and relaxed feel that we wanted for our guests.

What were the interesting personal touches and unique details? I'm a big detail person so to me the details were very important. We chose to give gift bags of bubblegum as favors because of how much Cody loves them. We can't pass a machine anywhere without stopping to get a gumball! Cody also made a wooden oar that we had our guests sign at the reception. We are going to seal it and hang it in our lake themed bathroom in our home. It will be a wonderful reminder of our special day and we can keep it for a lifetime.

What one detail truly made the wedding yours? It's hard to say that one detail made it. I would say all of the small details together made it mine. Anyone who knows me well knows that I love small details!

How did you customize your wedding? Cody, myself and our families made some of the fun details ourselves which made it special and personalized. We also chose every detail ourselves like the food, colors, flowers, decor, etc. The wedding had our custom touches everywhere.

How did you save money in planning your wedding? I bought my dress on eBay, believe it or not! We also saved a lot on the flowers by ordering them wholesale and putting them together ourselves, with the help of friends and family. Most everything was either made by us or bought at a garage sale. We are big DIY'ers in my family! We love it!

Tell us a little bit more about the day: Our big day was perfect! I was very nervous and excited before walking down the isle. But once I turned the corner and saw Cody on the stage I just started crying. I was very happy, it was a flood of emotions. So I cried all the way down the aisle, scrunched up face and all! It was lightly sprinkling at the beginning of our ceremony, which made it very romantic. It all went by very fast but we had a blast! It was exactly what we both wanted! I don't think it could have gone any better.
