Brittany King + Kirby Burks

May 17, 2014 • Cedar Valley Event Center, Pineville, Mo.

Love story: Kirby and I started working together in 2012. He was building houses and I was selling them. We quickly became friends but both of us knew deep down that the connection that we shared was something more. It didn't take us long to realize what we already knew. After dating for awhile, he took me to a log cabin overlooking Beaver Lake in Eureka Springs one weekend and that's where he got down on his knees and proposed. Kirby has made all of my dreams come true and we've been living a fairytale every since.

Wedding inspiration

Our wedding had a shabby-chic theme. It was very soft and romantic. I wanted it to be whimsical and dreamy like a fairytale because that's how everything has been for us. We are both outdoorsy people so I knew from the beginning I wanted to have an outside venue and this one was perfect. Pastor Kemp C. Holden was our officiant, which meant the world to me because I've known him my whole life and he married my parents, so that was pretty special.
