It’s safe to say we’re all on the same team when it comes to cancer. We deplore it and we want it gone. That’s why we’re such big fans of the Brides Against Breast Cancer (BABC) movement.

This Sarasota-based organization starts with collecting donated, designer bridal gowns from bridal boutiques and from former brides. Once the BABC troops sort through all the dresses, the best of the best are packed up and sent across the country for the annual Nationwide Tour of Gowns.

On Saturday, June 13, the BABC Tour of Gowns will roll into Little Rock. Brides-to-be can choose from dozens and dozens of gowns from 2 - 5 p.m. at Noah’s Event Venue, 21 Rahling Circle.

The event will include vendors, giveaways, an interest-free layaway plan, swag bags and more. You’ll also get to take your gown home with you, which is pretty sweet. Even sweeter? The average price of a BABC gown is $600!

Admission is free, but if you want first dibs, you can pay just $20 to get in early during VIP hours of 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

But here’s the best bart: Approximately 80 percent of proceeds go toward providing free services to patients and families affected by breast cancer. If you’ve already said your “I-do’s,” you can donate your wedding gown to the cause at the event as well.
