For a number of years, River Chase Weddings & Events has been a top destination for Arkansan photographers looking for a gorgeous background for their clients. The property features a variety of venues for couples to tie the knot, along with a casual atmosphere and beautiful views of the Arkansas River Valley.
When the owners Brenda and Mike Morrell’s oldest daughter hosted her wedding at the property on the first Saturday of November, the couple knew their property was special — and not just to them. After their youngest daughter held her wedding reception at River Chase, Brenda and her husband decided to share the beauty of River Chase with others.
The Space Itself
Since then, the property has grown to include two different overnight accommodation areas for the wedding party or guests, 200 acres of sprawling Arkansas hills overlooking the Arkansas River Valley below and room to set up the one-of-a-kind sailcloth tents for an outdoor reception.
This year, Brenda and Mike debuted River Chase Manor. This new indoor event venue includes a prep kitchen, an elegant honeymoon suite, a grand 2-bedroom suite that includes a huge 550 square foot living area and mini-kitchen. River Chase has stunning outdoor venues for brides to choose from, but in the event of inclement weather, River Chase Manor is a gorgeous backup.
Grace Landing is another new addition to River Chase's venue offerings. Huge pine trees line this long narrow lake, but just over the south bank is the beautiful Arkansas river valley view that River Chase is becoming famous for. Grace’s Landing boasts: 3,500 square feet of ceremony space to accommodate up to 300 guests; an arched bridge over water; a luxury bathroom trailer; 350 square feet of ceremony space, perfect for the bridal party; and all lighting/electrical is provided, as well.
In addition, Isaac's barn, an authentic red mid-1900s barn, still stands on the property. The barn is made from cedar and salvaged materials that recreates the original rustic feel. The options are endless at River Chase.
River Chase provides chairs for ceremonies and receptions as well as electrical/lighting help, too. There’s unlimited free parking and there are two houses open for the wedding party — one for the guys and one for the girls.
The beautiful A-frame house features spacious bedrooms, vaulted ceilings, fireplace, hot tub and a spacious deck. The Villa features multiple bedrooms, a full kitchen, a large living room with fireplace and a hot tub.
And according to previous brides, owners Brenda and Mike are a dream to work with leading up to and on the big day. One bride left a review on the website saying:
“Brenda was incredibly helpful and genuinely interested in making our day special. By the end of it she felt more like an aunt or another in law. I can not say enough good things about the owners. I think the wedding would have suffered if I had chosen a location where the owners brought in a negative energy.”
