Victoria Wood of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Jacob Filipek of Bismarck, Arkansas, met during a lowkey day at the pool. During their 11-month engagement, Victoria set to work with her planner Natalie Scott to map out everything she wanted for her big day.

“Natalie Scott handled every last detail with ease (while also planning, building, and opening the most gorgeous wedding venue),” Victoria says. “I knew she understood my vision for the day from our first meeting together. She introduced me to the BEST team of vendors the world has to offer.”

That vision turned out to be a classic, modern and organic wedding style filled with sweet details and incredible florals designed by Magnolia Belle Floral. Scroll on to discover all the things we loved from Victoria and Jacob’s big day at The Grandeur House.

On the wedding dress: "Funny story, after I got engaged I told my mom to follow all my fave Little Rock wedding-related Instagram accounts. Inverness is one of them. One day they posted a picture of a dress that seemed like everything I had been describing to my mom that I was looking for. She sent me that post and we both said, 'I have got to try this dress on!!!!'"

"I wanted my dress to match my modern, classic yet natural wedding. The best part about it was that it’s a two-piece crop top! It had a long sleeve beaded lace top and a satin A-line skirt with a long train complete with buttons all the way down the back."

On the rest of the bridal fashion: "I wore a pair of earrings borrowed from a friend who borrowed from a friend and so on, all worn in each wedding by the bride. They are the traveling bridal earrings! I love the story that they bring."

On bridesmaids outfit inspiration: "I wanted my girls to feel comfortable and beautiful. (And to be on the dance floor with me all night long!) I chose to let them pick out a dress they loved and felt proud to wear on my special day. I showed them a few pictures of my color palette and let them have fun with it! The dresses ended up all matching perfectly!! I love all the variety and personality each girl was able to show."

On her wedding theme: "As most girls do, I had a vision in my mind of how I wanted to feel on my wedding day. I knew I would be sharing this day with the man of my dreams and many of our friends and family. Within days of my engagement, I contacted Arkansas-based wedding planner Natalie Scott. After a few meetings of sharing images and thoughts, Natalie was able to help determine what my vision was drawn to… a classic modern style! I wanted a timeless, romantic look so we went with a neutral color palate."

On wedding florals: "Our bouquets and boutonnieres were both designed by the amazing Anna of Magnolia Belle Floral. The bride/bridesmaids bouquets were fresh natural greenery surrounding peonies, ranunculus, hellebores and white roses. The boutonnieres were single peonies with that same greenery. Anna took my natural, organic vision and turned it into the flower arrangements of my dreams!!!"

On reception style: "I wanted to enjoy the reception as much as I wanted my guests to enjoy it. It was important to have an open room, with space for everyone to move around and visit, as well as room for a full dance floor. We filled the room with gorgeous flowers and linen tablecloths. One of my favorite details was our yellow gold flatware."

On wedding advice: "After our ceremony, Jacob and I went into the bridal suite and ate dinner together alone while our guests were enjoying the cocktail hour. This is a moment I will remember forever. A quiet moment alone right after we had just committed our lives to each other. In reflection, I would tell my friend, to laugh and cry and to just take a moment to notice all the friends and family that are there to celebrate your special day. In the craziness of the day, it is hard to comprehend just how loved you are by so many people. Also in hindsight, I am glad we got to eat! I’m not sure that would have happened after we were introduced. I was able to spend more time with each guest not worrying about food in my teeth."
