We recently stumbled upon Alpha-Lit NWA, and our eyes lit up! (Pardon the pun.) The Dallas-based franchise has recently opened up a shop in northwest Arkansas led by Emily and Travis Swanson.

We chatted with Emily about her business and what services they offer brides in The Natural State.

Tell me about you. What led you to open up an Alpha-Lit business in NWA?

Emily: We are Travis and Emily Swanson! We met at the University of Arkansas and got married in Fayetteville five years ago. After living in Michigan, New Jersey and Florida we always knew northwest Arkansas held a special place in our hearts, so we are back, but this time we have marquee letters! Our friend started the company earlier this year in Dallas and we fell in love with the idea. Having planned a wedding in NWA a few years ago, we knew this would be a fun place to help others celebrate their special occasions in a unique way.

What services do you offer?
Emily: We offer top of the line marquee letters to completely customize weddings, parties and events. We have 3-foot letters and symbols, as well as 4-foot "LOVE" and numbers. We can stack them, too!

Have you been hired for weddings already? If so, what kinds of signage did you provide?
Emily: We have a few weddings on the books for 2019 and 2020 already. The most popular wedding set-up is the couple's last name with a small "The" topper. What bride doesn't want to see their new last name in lights!? Our favorite wedding booking so far is a stacked set up using the couple's wedding hashtag. It will be a great photo booth backdrop.

Would you travel to central Arkansas or other Arkansas locations for weddings?
Emily: We have had an interest in there being an Alpha-Lit location in central Arkansas. We mainly service northwest Arkansas but hope to be able to service the whole state soon. We are open to traveling to central Arkansas for events in the meantime.

What have been some of your favorite custom letters designs so far?
Emily: Our marquee letters combined with balloon garlands get me every time! I'm a sucker for a simple last name set up, too.

Why do you think couples should consider adding marquee letters to their big day?
Emily: Marquee letters can easily be a personalized showstopper without having to break your budget. They also make for some really good photos.
