Kyndal Clower & Ty Knight
October 17, 2020 / Grandeur House, Little Rock
KYNDAL AND TY met in the Baptist Health Radiology program, and were two of only 13 students out of a large number of applicants. They like to think it was meant to be because one of them could have easily not gotten accepted and they may have never ended up together. Kyndal loves Christmas, so Ty suggested they go to New York to see the Rockefeller Christmas tree, and that is where Ty popped the question.
PLANNING DURING A PANDEMIC
Kyndal and Ty had to get COVID-tested the Tuesday before the wedding to make sure they could fly out for their honeymoon. To their devastation, Ty’s test came back positive on the day of the wedding. The owners of the Grandeur House allowed them to do a quick ceremony in front of the venue, with only the wedding party and family present. Kyndal had to message everyone else who was invited and tell them not to come. They left right after the ceremony and celebrated at a friend’s house, where they cut the wedding cake and had their first dance in the living room. They were able to schedule a redo for December with the rest of their family and friends.
HOW THEY CUSTOMIZED
Kyndal found the perfect dress at Low’s Bridal, which was the perfect combination of simple and sleek dress paired with a dramatic skirt. Her favorite part of her bridal fashion was her veil and the detachable skirt, which made her feel like a true bride. Kyndal wanted the wedding to be timeless, which is why they went with a black and white color palette with the modern boho flare of the pampas grass. Vase and Vine created large arrangements of pampas grass with white roses and a touch of pink sprinkled in them.
For their December ceremony, they had pampas grass and candle light down the aisle, with two arrangements surrounding the wooden cross.
For the reception, they wanted a wow factor that caught peoples eye when they walked in the reception space, which they accomplished with big lit letters spelling out “The Knights” surrounded by a draped pergola with floral arrangements on it. Everything else stayed simple and classy with lots of candle light.
