Maeghen and Colton met at a going away party for a mutual friend in Memphis. They hit it off at the party and have never stopped talking since! Eventually, the couple decided to move to Northwest Arkansas together and created a beautiful life in their shared city.
“It all happened very naturally that it wouldn’t make sense to not get married, “ Maeghen said. “We just make each other laugh, have the same ideals, enjoy so many mutual hobbies and want to hang out all the time. So we’re hanging out forever!”
Maeghen and Colton had planned a a trip with friends to visit Banff, Alberta in Canada when he decided to pop the question. Colton had successfully tricked Maeghen into thinking it wasn’t going to happen when he got down on one knee in front of Lake Louise.

Q & A
Q: What was your favorite moment of the day?
A: “The first look. There is so much going on throughout the day that it was so important to us to have a moment to ourselves before the festivities really began,” Maeghen said.
Q: What personalizations made the day extra special?
A: “We had a vision early on to name custom cocktails after our pets and [Tyler of Carmical Designs] made the cutest and coolest designs for each pet and drink to use on the cocktail menu and on individual koozies. We liked the idea of making the koozies almost like collector items and having guests pick their favorite design (or pet), or grab all three. I was also so obsessed with the pizza boxes.”
Q: What is your secret to wedding planning success?
A: “Anna with JLK Weddings made everything seamless and was so helpful and supportive every step of the way. I wanted someone who is an expert in how weddings run so they could plan the most efficient timeline, and make sure I was prepped for items I would have never thought about on my own.”

Maeghen and Colton had custom pizza boxes with modern art and typography etched onto the front.
PARTY PEOPLE
“Our other favorite moment was when we played a ‘hype-up’ drinking game with our [wedding] party before going into the reception. It was also nostalgic because we’ve played that game so much throughout our friendships and various friend groups.”
