Wynn and Samar’s love story is a testament to the power of connection, defying geographical barriers with a stroke of fate on Hinge back in 2020. Despite residing in separate states, their bond flourished through numerous FaceTime calls and heartfelt conversations before the eagerly awaited moment of their first face-to-face encounter. Upon meeting Wynn in person, Samar knew he was the one she had been looking for.
“It was our first in-person date that made me realize I found someone special,” Samar said. “The date lasted several hours. The time sort of disappeared, and we spent it just talking and laughing.”
Wynn popped the question while the couple were in Boston for a Red Sox game. As they walked through the gardens in the evening, Wynn decided it was the perfect time to ask Samar to marry him. Two strangers saw the entire proposal and sent the couple photos!

Q & A
Q: What inspired your color palette?
A: “Autumn is my favorite time of the year,” Samar said. “I knew I wanted bright colors but still wanted it to feel like it was autumn. I was very open to different textures and patterns.”
Q: What was your favorite moment of the day, and why?
A: “We knew we wanted time by ourselves to say more personal vows than what we were planning to say at our ceremony. We also each took a tequila shot after our vows to help ease the nerves and get the party started!”
Q: What surprised you about planning a wedding?
A: “The amount of small details that go into wedding planning really surprised me the most. Thankfully, I was given Christa’s contact information before I started the process, which made things so much easier.”

“Christa Wilkins with JLK Weddings; she’s not a secret, but she was crucial. She thought about every detail before I could even worry or think about it,” Samar said.
BAXTER'S BAR
“Wynn and I knew we wanted our dog Baxter incorporated into the wedding. We found many ways to do that [with] napkins, drink stirs and photo props,” Samar said. “Seeing our dog incorporated into the decorations was one of our favorite parts!”
