ANDREA HILL & CHARLES ROSS RICHESIN III
September 30, 2023 | Clinton Presidential Center | Little Rock | Lela & Lyla
Andrea and Ross have known each other since high school. They became close friends while attending the University of Arkansas and later moved to Little Rock together. Eight years after first meeting, they decided to give a relationship a try.
“Ross and I knew that we could always rely on the other and that a friendship like that was a solid foundation for a relationship that would last a lifetime,” Andrea said.
Ross planned a trip with Andrea and a few of their friends at a cabin in the Ozark Mountains for New Year’s weekend. Under the guise of being Andrea’s Christmas present, Ross was secretly planning to pop the question while overlooking the Spring River.
“[They] decorated the back porch with candles and flowers while I was getting dressed for dinner,” Andrea said. “As I walked out to the back porch, and the sun was setting, my jaw dropped seeing him on one knee!”

Q & A
Q: What was your favorite moment of the day, and why?
A: “Having all the most special people in our lives in one place together at the same time was so special,” Andrea said.
Q: What did you love about your reception venue?
A: “The openness of The Great Hall with the glass wall of windows overlooking the city skyline combined with the terrace made this venue the perfect choice,” Andrea said.
Q: Which decor details made your day extra special?
A: “All of the beautiful invitations and paper goods designed and printed by Erin Brady at By Invitation Only,” Andrea said. “The reception florals, especially the hanging serpentine covered in hydrangeas, roses and orchids were designed and created by Brittany Cantwell and Dale Aldridge at Silks-A-Bloom and CWP Productions.”
Q: What was your most worth-it splurge?
A: “The band. We chose Jordan Kahn Music Co. 17-piece band,” Andrea said. “The band played continuously throughout the evening starting with dinner music and transitioning into dance music. Jordan performed a live rendition of our first dance song, ‘Your Smiling Face’ by James Taylor!”
CORE MEMORY
Andrea danced with her maternal grandfather to “Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree” by The Andrew Sisters. “This was special because as a little girl, we would go on walks together and bring apples to eat with us; he called me his ‘Apple-Eating Girl.’”
MATCHING THE VENUE
“I thought that the deep midnight teal blue of the bridesmaids’ dresses would…be a perfect color combination with the light blue ceilings at St. Edward Catholic Church,” Andrea said.
