Hannah Pfeiffer of Benton and Jake Sligh of Camden are engaged to be married on July 21.
Jake, who lives and works in Little Rock (right here at Arkansas Business Publishing Group, in fact), will wed his college sweetheart (they met as high school seniors during a church retreat) at First Baptist Church in Benton, with a reception following at Bauxite Community Hall.
Here's how Hannah remembers it:
"I first met Jake when I was a senior in high school and his band was playing at my church's retreat. I immediately had a crush on him, and when I arrived at Ouachita Baptist University (where he also went) he developed a crush on me too! We started dating my sophomore year (his senior year) and, after two years and the ups and downs of a long-distance relationship, he proposed last september at the same place he asked me to be his girlfriend. Now, we're so ready to finally live in the same place and start our life together!"
