On Saturday, July 20, I got an early wake-up call from Jonathan asking me to go with him to the farm. We had plans to go to the lake that day, so I wanted to get things ready and didn't want to go to the farm. Finally, he twisted my arm into going with him. So, I got up, threw on some clothes, put up my hair and headed out the door lookin' like a hot mess.
We got to the farm and drove around checking on things.  After a couple hours have passed, I am on edge ready to leave because it was so hot. He told me we have to go check on one of the corn fields and then we could leave. We arrive at the field, which just happened to be my favorite place. He asked me to get the hoe out and start draining some water. I thought this was weird because I had never seen him use this gardening hoe before for anything and I don't even know how to use a hoe. I had gotten very irritable at this point and just wanted to leave. So I start "hoeing" and he is standing behind me just laughing because I was getting so frustrated, which was his goal. After a few minutes of hoeing and accomplishing nothing, he tells me I can stop because I was doing such a great job and he had to tell me something. I said "OK, what?" He said "I have to ask you something."
My heart fell to my stomach and I started to freak out. He then got down on one knee and said the most amazing and beautiful things and asked me to marry him. I was so overwhelmed with happiness and awe, I forgot to tell him yes! It was such a fabulous and unforgettable day full of love, joy and happiness.
