Brides— For this special Reader’s Choice edition, we wanted to put a fun little spin on the traditional Editor Favorites feature. Instead of simply showcasing the editorial team’s favorite bridal portraits and couple shots, we added décor, ideas and more into this mix. We hope these inspire you to create something fresh, unique or simply gorgeous for your weddings.
Creative Pre-Wedding Events
Why? Because so much thought and care is going into planning pre-wedding events nowadays. Bridesmaids, shower hostesses and in-laws are throwing super creative parties, heavily detailed showers and swoon-worthy rehearsal dinners—and we’re obsessed. Our favorite from the past year was this gorgeous gathering, a bridal luncheon in honor of bride Bridgette Bailey Pardo, captured by photographers Lela&Lyla.

Hipster Weddings
Why? Because hipsters (for lack of a better word) are always true to their personalities, don’t mind shirking tradition, and their weddings usually include unique ideas and artsy details everyone loves to look at. Our art director Erin Lang’s cool style came through in her Hot Springs wedding, and Jessica & Michael Wyrick of Rogers hosted a hippie-esque wedding with flair. We’ve featured their details here.
