It's a big day! Searcy natives Jessica Brooks and Christian Bartholomew are saying "I do" today at the Cypress Meadows Plantation in McRae.

I grew up at the pond behind my house. Christian decided that he was going to propose around Christmas, but one day came to my mom and told her he couldn't wait any longer, and that he was proposing on Thanksgiving, which I wasn't expecting.
We had Thanksgiving lunch and then he asked if I wanted to go ride the four-wheeler. It was freezing, but I said yes. The whole time we were riding, he was talking about our future and how much he loved me.
He decided to go down to the pond to "look" and then pulled up behind a tree. I could tell something was on the other side, and when he pulled around, on the tree was a sign he made that said "Will You Marry Me?" About the time I saw the sign, he got off the four-wheeler and asked me to get off as well. He got down on one knee and proposed. I said yes! Little did I know he had my family taking pictures and videoing the whole thing! It was so sweet and romantic!
