Sydney Norwood & Lance Tucker

You probably wouldn’t expect to find the love of your life while working at a clothing store, but that’s exactly what happened with Little Rock native Sydney Norwood and Lance Tucker from Fayetteville. The workplace romance grew, and before they knew it, Lance and Sydney had spent most of the decade together. On the morning of their eighth anniversary, Lance cooked a very special breakfast just for Sydney. On the menu for her that morning was a romantic marriage proposal. Quite possibly the best breakfast ever.
The Inspiration
Having Chris Norwood, the floral genius behind Tipton & Hurst, as a father allowed Sydney the chance to see many weddings growing up. It also instilled in her a desire for a truly unique wedding of her own, one with a lot of color. Sydney was also always drawn to dark purple and lime green, so she went for it. Lance’s role as a baseball coach influenced some décor and even helped set the menu.
How They Customized
That baseball décor? It was an entire groom’s dugout complete with a personalized scoreboard and concession stand food, which was a big hit with kids and adults. The couple also had cups that changed colors with temperature, light-up tambourines for the dance floor and invitations designed in part by the bride.
Flower Power
The true standout element was, of course, the flowers. Fresh blooms cascaded from the ceiling, dripped from chandeliers and burst out of centerpieces. But the most special arrangement was Sydney’s gorgeous bouquet, handmade by her father, and carried as they walked down the aisle together.
