We love a good love story, and Eli Pierce of Dallas and Lorna Porter of Russellville's story is just that. The two have set the date for April 8, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Fayetteville, followed by a reception at the Chancellor Hotel. Eli and Lorna met by complete accident. On their last day of college, Lorna at the University of Arkansas and Eli at Texas A&M, both drove to Florida to spend a week on the beach with mutual friends. The week passed and both went their separate ways — Lorna to start a career in Dallas, and Eli to begin law school. Three years passed and neither heard from the other. Then, in the Spring of 2014, Eli graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law and returned to his hometown of Dallas. There, the same friends who invited the couple to the beach in Florida set the two up on a date, and the rest is history. Eli proposed to Lorna on June 18, 2016, and she said yes! The couple’s families and friends were on hand to celebrate that weekend, and have not stopped celebrating since. Eli and Lorna will be married on April 8, 2017 in Fayetteville, Arkansas and they could not be more excited to spend the rest of their lives together.
