Rogers native Nathan Street and Camden native Kasey McLeane were set up by Nathan's dad and sister while attending Ouachita Baptist University. Nathan's sister was Kasey's sorority sister and friend. One day Nathan's sister casually brought up that her brother would be at OBU the next fall and that Kasey should ask him to TWIRP. (For non-OBUers, TWIRP stands for The Woman Is Required to Pay and is basically a Sadie Hawkins week at the beginning of the semester.) That fall, Kasey asked Nathan to the EEE 50's TWIRP night through a video with an origami fortune teller and he replied "yes" with a video of his own singing and playing the piano. They've been inseparable ever since.

Here's their engagement story in Kasey's words:

"Nathan and I talked about marriage after about two years of dating and then started the waiting game. On April 23rd, I was at home in Camden and Nathan coming over so we could go see the Jungle Book in theaters with my family. When he got to my house, Mom suddenly had a headache so we decided we would go to the late show instead. Dad started making comments about how the fish were making their beds down at the pond and that we should go down and look at them. My response was, "Well why don't you and Nathan go? I don't want to see fish." I could tell Nathan was a little panicked at my response. So finally I agreed to go. Once we got to the dock, he proposed and I heard yelling from my aunt and uncle's house. Nathan asked some of our closest friends to be there for a surprise engagement party after at my house. I can't wait to marry him!"

We're loving their engagement photos by Erin Wilson Photography. The two have set the date for Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Cold Springs Events in Paron.

Congrats, you two!
