These photogenic lovebirds are tying the knot! Danville natives Kaitlin Short and Jonathon Spike have set the date for Saturday, October 14, 2017 at The Loft at Stone Oak. The talented Erin Wilson Photography took their dreamy engagement photos.
Here's their love story in Kaitlin's words:
"We met in the summer of 2013 with just enough time to fall in love and for me to move three hours away to Memphis. We dated long distance for three years while I was in optometry school and he worked in Arkansas. In the fall of 2016, I moved back to the state and we are finally living in the same place!
My whole family was in town for a wedding and I was put in charge of throwing a dinner for everyone. Jonathon was working two hours away and running very late, so I had given up on him joining us. When we were done eating, it was suggested we all go to the town square in Fayetteville to look at the lights (although Christmas was still two months away). When I got there, all the lights were off. I got out of the car and was like, “Well, this was a waste of time!” Jonathon was waiting there. He took my hand and walked me to a dark area of the square. When that handsome man hit his knee, all of the beautiful Christmas lights came on around us! What he said is a blur in my mind, but I know that it was the easiest yes I have ever given. When I finally stopped hugging and kissing him, I turned around to find my family and closest friends cheering us on. That’s when the tears officially started. Most of them had been hiding behind bushes, in the cold, waiting for me to show up. We all went inside an event venue nearby to pop champagne and celebrate!"
