Tim Rand Photography

To continue our Meet the Photographers series, we're putting the spotlight on Tim Rand of Tim Rand Photography! Tim, a wedding photographer since 2003, considers his style photojournalistic and portraiture. He captures events as they happen in real time.

We're always thrilled to learn more about our photographers, so Tim gave us the inside scoop on what he loves about photographing weddings and what moments he makes sure to capture.

What did you do before photography?

I was in the radio business and then in the country music artist management business and restaurant business before photography.

What are the moments you make sure to capture on a wedding day?

The emotional ones  and they happen throughout the day. The joy and laughter, the poignant ones with parents, the entire ceremony (including the first kiss), the “first look” and “detail” images of this great day.

What do you love about being a wedding photographer?

Weddings are truly special. We love being part of that special day with the couple, their families and friends.

What's your favorite part of photographing a wedding?

Capturing this day in photographs, so these moments can be re-lived for the rest of their lives. We take a lot of photographs. With only a couple of exceptions, our weddings have over 1000 images, and some weddings have had over 2000.

What price points can brides expect?

$1,490 or $1,590, depending on how they do the formal photographs. They get all the images in high-resolution and can do anything they want with them. Plus, they get a 20” x 24” print and a 20” x 30” print.  Sales tax is extra as is travel to another city.

What's one piece of advice you like to give brides on their big day?

I tell them it is their day. Enjoy it. We are there for her and for her groom. We know what we plan to photograph, but we will photograph anything she wants.  Just tell us.
