Let's be honest. Weddings are expensive, and while a gift registry helps, you're making a lot of big purchases when you and your spouse move into your first home together. It's hard to commit to the bridal gown you really want when you're also thinking about the matched furniture set, patio table and wall art.

A good portion of the time, this dilemma leads to mountains of debt, and you really don't want to spend your time as newlyweds stressed over financial problems. So we at Arkansas Bride were super excited when we found Reel, a cool app that lets you save up for expensive purchases without going into debt.

Here's how it works:

You find the item you want on their app or website  furniture, clothes, even a splurge on an Apple Watch  and then you decide how much you want to put away toward the item and for how long. Reel automatically drafts the payments from your bank account, and when you've saved enough, your item will ship to you.

Don't worry  if you can't afford a payment or decide you don't need the item as much as you thought, you can pause payments, transfer your saved money to a different item or get your money back for a small fee.

So good luck, newlyweds! Hope this helps!
