Samantha Taylor and Reid Robertson of Star City are announcing their adorable engagement. Their wedding is set for Sep. 1, 2018, at the Hyatt Resort and Spa in Lake Tahoe.
Here's Samantha's story:
"From the time Reid and I went on our first date on Jan. 1, 2015, I knew something was special with him.
"Fast forward three years later, Reid had planned an impromptu weekend trip to Buffalo River, a place where we had one of our very first weekend getaways together. It was supposed to be just a nice 'relaxing' weekend away from our busy lives that we both have with our careers, family, etc. Once we arrived on Friday night to our amazing cabin that had the perfect mountaintop view, hot tub — the works! — I was in total awe of the beauty of this place! Like I said, Buffalo River area has always had a very special place in my heart. Reid told me that he had planned a nice dinner for us on Saturday night but wanted the location of where we were going to be a surprise! I was so excited for a date night!"We arrived at Big Cedar Lodge Top of the Rock and were just blown away with the beauty of this place. I turned around to soak all the beautiful views in and turned back, and Reid stated he had a confession to make. That he really didn't bring me here just for dinner. After that he got down on one knee with some of the sweetest words I've ever heard!! Unbeknownst to me, my parents were behind us the entire time snapping pictures of the entire thing! I was completely overcome with emotion, laughing one minute, crying the next! It was unreal! I can't wait to marry the man I've been praying to find since I was a little girl."
