Emily and Ryan Buller’s June 23, 2018 wedding at the Ballroom at I Street was a picture-perfect occasion with wow-worthy florals. The couple met way back in high school at a church retreat in Colorado There, they hit it off on the sand volleyball court. After a few months of dating, Ryan asked Emily to be his girlfriend.
The proposal took place in July 2017 during a trip Emily took to visit Ryan in Chicago where he was working at the time. Saturday morning, Ryan and Emily packed up a backpack for the day and headed out to explore the city. After a day of adventures, the two decided to walk along the Chicago River to the Navy Pier. When they got to the pier, Ryan pulled Emily to the Ferris wheel for a private ride. When they got on the gondola, Ryan gave Emily a scrapbook documenting their time together. When Emily turned to the last page, Ryan got down on one knee and said: "Emily Elizabeth Schaffner, would you marry me?"

On her gorgeous gown: Emily’s dress was a gorgeous mermaid style crochet lace & tulle gown from She Said Yes Bridal.
On Ryan’s wedding day attire: Ryan wore a dapper navy suit with a deep red tie, also from She Said Yes Bridal.
On the ceremony decor: Emily and Ryan had a gorgeous round ceremony arch as a backdrop for their nuptials. It was unique and modern and gave a fun twist to their ceremony photos!
On wedding day snafus: Emily’s wedding band was missing for a few hours before the ceremony! We all searched and searched before we finally gave up, and then about 20 minutes before the ceremony time it was found hidden in a box behind a picture frame in the reception hall! Phew!
On the wedding cake: A sweet and pretty naked cake by Briar Rose Bakery, with florals to match the gorgeous round arch in the ceremony!
