Amanda and Logan Ballew met years ago at a St. Patty's Day pub crawl on Dickson Street in Fayetteville, and now they're husband and wife!

Logan surprised Amanda with a proposal at the top of Mount Sequoia in Fayetteville, which overlooks the whole town. Logan pointed out important locations and memories that the couple had acquired throughout their relationship before telling her how all of those memories down below had led him to know he wanted to marry her.

For the next year, Amanda worked with Arkansas vendors to create a wedding that reflected the personality of the duo's relationship. She says her mom continuously reminded her to stick to instinct and forget what she thought a wedding was "supposed" to look like.

The couple said "I do" in February 2019 at Kindred North in Centerton. Here are a few shots by April Walsh with Freckled Fox Photography of Amanda and Logan's classy boho wedding.

On bridesmaid fashion: "My number one concern was that everyone feels beautiful and confident. They are all so unique in their own right, so I wanted their dresses to reflect them! Each bridesmaid chose their own dress, and black felt like a timeless but unique color choice and foolproof to match!"

On the wedding gown: "The dress is Ti Adora and we found it at Tesori in Fayetteville. I just fell in love with the way I felt in it; it was simple, traditional, and I was able to customize the dress to lower the back, add buttons, and add straps. My goal was to feel confident and beautiful, but not too trendy. I think I'll look back on these photos with my daughter and still love the timeless style of the gown."

On the vows: "We actually did private vows before the ceremony at our first look. I loved that we were able to share the most intimate words we have ever spoken with just each other, and not in front of a huge crowd. It took the pressure of the ceremony away while still being able to express our vows in the most genuine way possible."

On the ceremony decor: "The goal was to make the space feel cozy and nature-inspired, with modern and bohemian accents. We went all out with the candles to bring warmth in the winter, and the cozy rugs added an intimate feel. My favorite pieces of decor were the scattered modern bud vases throughout the head tables that added an effortless design and got to highlight the stunning stems that Kindred Blooms chose."

On the cocktail hour: "We served wine, beer and we each had a signature drink. Mine was a cucumber lemon vodka spritzer and Logan’s was an old fashioned. We served tomato bruschetta with garlic crostini, a jalepeno and bacon puff pastry and phyllo shells infused with goat cheese and fig jam."

On the venue: "The bones of Kindred North were so clean and simple, which is very much our style. We fell in love with the venue's charm and a clean slate. It allowed us to add to its natural beauty and make it ours with just some simple touches! The team there was so helpful and creative and they took our vision and made it come to life in the most beautiful way possible."

On the cake: "We actually aren't big cake people so we decided to go with mini bundt cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes! They were a huge hit and people were able to grab them all night."

On the feeling of being married: "One of my favorite wedding moments was walking down the aisle and as we exited. I turned to Logan and said “We just got married!” and his entire face scrunched up and he started hysterically bawling. I had been preparing a year for that moment and talked so much about it I think I had already processed the significance of it, but I don’t think it hit him until right then. We have a series of pictures of us laughing and crying, feeling so overwhelmed with emotion and happiness and I am so grateful that April the photographer was able to capture the pure emotions at that moment."
