Maddison Stewart and Cameron Stone met through mutual friends after graduating from the University of Arkansas. They were both agriculture majors but their paths didn't cross until they were both in Fayetteville at a football game in the fall of 2015.

When it came time to propose, Cameron popped the question in the perfect way — in fact, it was exactly how Maddison wanted to be proposed to. Maddison's family has land and a duck lodge in Fair Oaks. It's her favorite place in the world.

"On the land, there is a dirt road nestled in trees that my dad calls, Maddison’s Road," she says. "He took me to my road and asked me to marry him. It was such a special moment for the two of us with no one else. I love that only he and I were in that moment. It’s such a sacred conversation and it means so much that we will share that experience together forever."

Little did Maddison know that Cameron had asked their friends to come to the lodge to celebrate the lovebirds.

It seemed like a no-brainer for the couple to have their reception at the hunting lodge since it already played such an important role in their love story. They decided to have the ceremony at the First United Methodist Church of Wynne, which was the church Maddison grew up attending.

Read on to find out more about Maddison and Cameron's beautiful, rustic wedding day complete with fun reception decor and incredible florals.

On her wedding dress: "My wedding dress is something special! I bought it at BHLDN and absolutely loved it! But when it came in, the fit was just completely off. I took it to get altered and it turns out that the top of my dress was made completely wrong. Our seamstress bought new fabric that matched the skirt of my gown and completely rebuilt the top and added new sleeves to the dress. My dress originally had straight sleeves with the lace down the arm and Mrs. Galinda put those awesome flowy sleeves on there ONE WEEK before my wedding! My dress did not get finished until the Sunday before the wedding!"

On the bridesmaid dresses: "My bridesmaid dresses were from BHLDN, too. The cool thing that I love about those dresses is that my mom and I bought those dresses, so the girls didn’t have to spend money on another bridesmaid dress. We are donating them to dress shops across the state and country. I wanted them to go to girls that wanted the perfect prom dress but couldn’t afford one. The dresses deserved to go to someone who would love them."

On Maddison's favorite fashion element from the day: "On the wedding day, I gave my mom a charm bracelet. The meaning behind this goes way back! She used to have a charm bracelet that was stolen not long after I was born. On that charm bracelet, she had a charm that held a seed pearl my daddy found when he was eating oysters. I’ve heard her talk about that charm bracelet as long as I can remember. Her wishing she could just have that one piece of jewelry back. Just before my parents' 30th wedding anniversary, my dad found another seed pearl... and a 30th anniversary is a pearl anniversary! HOW CRAZY! So, I took that seed pearl, had a charm made and gave that to her as a gift to show how appreciative Cam and I are for her."

On wedding flowers: "Oh. My. Gosh. I cried when I saw my bouquet. It was so heavy but the most beautiful thing I think I’ve ever seen. I have no idea what type of flowers were in it honestly. It just looked natural and just like my personality. My bouquet and Cam’s boutonniere had pheasant feathers in them. Those represented my Papa that passed away a few years ago. Also, on the stem of my bouquet was a string of pearls that belonged to my grandmother that I never got to meet. My mother wore those same pearls on her wedding day."

On ceremony decor: "Our church is so pretty on the inside so we kept it really simple on decorations. Just a few flowers and candles. We had seven candles on the altar in the sanctuary that represented family and loved ones that Cam and I have lost that we wished so badly they could be there. My brother and Cameron’s sister lit those candles before the ceremony started."

On the groom's fashion: "Cam wore a very sophisticated and classic navy tux with black lapels and a black tie along with his black cowboy boots. I have to say, when I saw him at the end of the aisle (because that’s the first time we saw each other), I thought, 'Dang! I’ve got one handsome soon-to-be husband!'"

On their wedding cake: "Our cake was very simple. White cake and some twigs, berries and branches as decorations. We used my parent's wedding cake topper! So, that was special for us."

On their first dance song: "Our first dance was to 'The Sweetest Thing' by JJ Grey and Mofro. We love JJ Grey! We had a live band that sang it. It was perfect."

On her favorite thing about her spouse: "It’s hard to pick ONE thing I love most about Cam. He is just such a good person. But I think what I love most about him is he is fearless. He is sure of himself, has never questioned our relationship and will do anything to make our marriage work. He doesn’t care what it will take to take care of us, he is just fearless. And he makes me fearless. With him on my side, we can do anything together."
