Say Hello to Hot Springs' Newest Bridal Boutique, Something Bleu
Hot Springs, one of the state's hottest destination wedding spot, is now home to a brand new bridal boutique — Something Bleu. Owner Kimberly Parkinson has always had a love for all things wedding and now she runs Something Bleu in the Spa City's historic downtown district.
We caught up with Parkinson about her new store that just opened in September 2019, the lines she's carrying and what brides can expect at this new boutique.
What is your vision for Something Bleu?
Kimberly Parkinson: "Hot Springs is filled with many spectacular wedding venues and chapels but had no bridal boutique. I wanted to bring my passion and experience to this town and offer an 'in-town' option for finding the dress of your dreams right in Hot Springs."
Tell me about the feel of the space. What was your thought process behind the interior decor at Something Bleu?
KP: "Something Bleu Bridal Boutique has a quaint and elegant feel with a touch of glamour. My vision for Something Bleu came together with inspiration from the ornately carved 7-foot gold mirror and the exquisite French-style chandelier."
Why do you think now is the right time to open Something Bleu in Hot Springs?
KP: "I am excited to be a part of downtown Hot Springs. This historic resort town is ever-changing and evolving and has so many incredible restaurants and unique storefronts."
Tell me about the lines that Something Bleu is carrying.
KP: "I am currently carrying Symphony Bridal, Mon Cheri, Sophia Tolli, Martin Thornburg, Moonlight, Val Stefani, Christina Wu and Adrianna Papell."
What price points can brides expect?
KP: "The gowns range from $800-$3,500."
What's the story behind the venue's name?
KP: "I love the traditional saying of 'Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.' I decided to change the spelling of blue to the French version because I am part French."
