Liz Ramsey and Dr. Kurt Brawner are getting hitched! The two will make it official on Saturday, June 6, 2020, at Brandon Hall Plantation in Natchez, Mississippi.
Here's their love story in Liz's words:
Our engagement began on Christmas Eve last year. Christmas Eve is always spent at my grandmother's house with all of our family so we knew we would go over there sometime around noon. It was just like any other morning, Kurt got up and fixed breakfast for us and we began getting ready for the day. I got ready fairly quickly, but it seemed like Kurt was taking FOREVER. I waited and waited and finally went to sit on the couch, thinking it would hurry him along. He walked into the living room and he said: 'Do you want to look in your stocking before we go?' I thought: 'Kurt we are already running late, we should probably go.'
I sat on the couch to fix my shoes and he got out a blue piece of paper in a plastic envelope from my stocking and laid it in my lap. To be completely honest, I thought it was a passport! I thought we were going on a trip somewhere for Christmas! I examined the blue sheet — which I later saw said carat and clarity — for a destination. I then looked to my side to see Kurt down on one knee. And with a few sweet words he said, 'Elizabeth, will you marry me?'
In total shock because I thought we were going on a trip! I did not respond right away and Kurt will never let me forget that! I said YES! I jumped into his arms, we cried together and immediately called our closest family and friends. The true perfect ending to our Christmas engagement story."
