Fayetteville Engagement: Tessa Souers & Tyler Daniels

I never wanted a big proposal. I wanted a huge one. After spending seven years together, I decided it was time to start planning the event. That lasted about 45 minutes. This particular plan required a great deal of stealth and patience. I arranged for the Kenda Drive-In in Marshall to play a movie I had made in-between a double feature. The movie was a quick slideshow review of our relationship set to her favorite love song, with the final scene asking, “Forever?”

When the day arrived, I was faced with one last challenge – getting her to the movies. I naturally picked a night featuring sci-fi and horror, so it was a losing argument. I was forced to get her mom in on the plan, and she somehow persuaded her to go. I hid in the back rows with our families and made sure no one moved a muscle while she sat near the front. When the first movie ended, I surprised her and we watched our movie together. Our families joined us when it ended, and I popped the question. She managed to get out the word “yes.”
