Kaitlin Jones and Matthew Bloomfield of Conway are engaged to be married on May 10, 2014 at the Lodge at Mount Magazine in Paris, Ark.

Matt and I have been attending the same school since 7th grade, and have lived within two miles of one another since that time. However, we did not meet until our senior years of college when I began volunteering with a student ministry in Conway called K-Life. Matt had been volunteering for K-Life for several years. A year-and-a-half after he asked me to be his girlfriend, he gave me the most wonderful surprise: He took me to the bike trail in Conway where he had a new bike waiting on me. As we were riding, he told me to turn and go up a hill. After some grumbling, I did what he asked. On the hill, he had "Will you marry me Katie?" written in chalk. And, before I knew what was really going on, he had jumped off his bike and gotten down on one knee.
