For all of the cupcake fans in and around Little Rock, one of the capital city's favorite shops has earned a special title of one of the "101 Best Cupcakes in America" by The Daily Meal, a national website dedicated to all things food and drink across the country.
Cupcakes on Kavanaugh, 5625 Kavanaugh Blvd., Little Rock, was named no. 56 on the list cited as having experienced bakers and innovative flavors, including the rum-infused Pineapple Piña Colada Cupcake, which they said is a "life-changing coconut cake, iced with coconut rum buttercream for a delicious confection you'll be hard-pressed to find elsewhere." The Daily Meal compiled the list based on factors like menu variety, presentation, customer service and community engagement, and overall quality. The delightful cupcake shop in The Heights was the only one in Arkansas that made the cut and ranked among shops in San Francisco, New York City, Chicago and Portland.
Cupcakes on Kavanaugh serves up a variety of delicious cupcakes-- mini, regular and jumbo-- as well as mini cakes in yummy flavors ranging from Razorback Red Velvet and Cookies n' Cream to Bananas Fosters and Oatmeal Cream Pie.
