Malvern native Aubrey Cook and Ryan Mitchell of Sheridan are engaged to be married. Aubrey and Ryan will exchange vows on Saturday, April 25, at Garvan Woodland Gardens in Hot Springs.

This couple took advantage of The Natural State for this gorgeous engagement sesh from Stephanie Nunley to go along with their perfectly romantic proposal story. Here's what Aubrey had to say:

Ryan and I have always loved to travel as much as possible. Last summer, we were fortunate enough to take a spontaneous trip to New York City for a few days. Little did I know it would be a life changing trip and one of the happiest ones of my life.

We toured around the fast-paced city and had the most amazing time. On our last night there, we saw a Broadway show ("Aladdin," one of our favs) then headed to the Empire State Building. It was a perfect summer night and not overly crowded at the top. I noticed Ryan seemed very uncomfortable and edgy but I figured it was because of his overwhelming fear of heights. I was too distracted by the amazingly beautiful view to notice, though.

After a few moments enjoying the night air and scenery, Ryan grabbed another tourist for a few pictures. On the last picture, Ryan told me we were going to get a picture of us looking out across the city. When I turned back around, Ryan was on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of our lives together.

I met Ryan on the night of my 19th birthday in the small town of Sheridan, Arkansas, about 40 minutes from my hometown of Glen Rose. I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful birthday present. On our six year anniversary on April 25th, I will finally get to marry the man of my dreams.

So cute we can barely stand it. Congrats, Ryan and Aubrey!
