Jamie Fotioo and Neil Groat of Conway will exchange vows on July 12, 2014 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Hot Springs.

Neil and I both began working at Hendrix College in Conway in 2005. For almost two years, we were on Hendrix's staff together but had never met. In early 2007, I was promoted to a job within the Admission Office, where Neil worked at the time, and we were introduced at a campus event for prospective students. Neil found out that I had attended the University of Arkansas where his high school friend had played baseball. When he asked if I knew his friend, I said yes and proved it by naming his walk-up song – good thing I attended some Razorback baseball games! I think this impressed Neil, and it was easy conversation from there. Our first date was that summer at my favorite Italian restaurant in Conway. I'll never forget tripping and nearly falling at one point during the night. I'm glad Neil didn't think I was too big of a klutz and kept asking me on dates. Our relationship became official later that fall on Aug. 23, which is my parents' wedding anniversary.
